Itinerary
Your adventure begins in Hood River, OR, with a shuttle to the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center.
Kick off the ride with dramatic views of the volcanic landscape, pedaling along the scenic Riffe Lake to Ashford, nestled at the foot of Mount Rainier. Our first camp is surrounded by the tranquility of the forest.
Today is a highlight: a spectacular, challenging climb up the western slope of Mount Rainier.
Ride past historic landmarks like the Longmire Museum and the majestic Nisqually Glacier. Descend through towering old-growth forests before arriving at our comfortable lodging in Packwood.
Ride through the picturesque Cowlitz River Valley and south into the vast beauty of Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
A shuttle takes us to Takhlakh Lake, offering postcard-perfect reflections of Mount Adams, before we settle into our camp near Trout Lake.
Cycle through pastoral settings with fantastic morning views of Mount Adams.
After lunch in White Salmon, an optional ride awaits on a historic section of the Columbia River Highway, offering iconic Columbia River Gorge views. Tonight, we enjoy the comfort of the Hood River Hotel.
Our final day is a delightful ride on the famous Hood River Fruit Loop.
Cycle through vibrant orchards and past local farm stands before concluding our Oregon and Washington bike trip with a celebratory lunch and the return shuttle to Hood River.

Hood River, OR, 9:00 AM PST at Dirty Fingers Bike Repair, 1235 State Street. Ending time: return to Hood River 2:00-3:00 PM last day. Getting there: ~60 mi east of Portland on I-84; fly into Portland (PDX), AAA Airport Shuttle available.
