Iconic Point-to-Point: Ride the entire 140-mile Kokopelli Trail, a true pilgrimage and Colorado to Utah bike tour for passionate cyclists.
Diverse & Challenging Terrain: Experience the full spectrum of desert riding, including whoop-dee-doos, technical sections, and demanding jeep roads.
Significant Climbs: Prepare for challenges like the 2,400-foot ascent to Sevenmile Mesa, rewarded by exhilarating descents.
Spectacular Scenery: Pedal through breathtaking landscapes with panoramic views near Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park.
Grand Moab Finale: The journey culminates with an epic descent of Sand Flats Road into Moab, Utah, offering a triumphant finish.

Itinerary
Your Kokopelli Trail bike trip begins after meeting in Grand Junction. We shuttle to Loma, Colorado, the official start.
Prepare for a day of engaging desert riding, navigating fun singletrack and technical sections as the trail winds towards Rabbit Valley.
Our camp tonight sits atop a mesa overlooking to canyons that flow to the Colorado river
We will start the day with a descent down to the beginning of West Water canyon, a popular rafting destination.
Some off the beaten path 4×4 roads will roughly follow the river, taking us on our way towards Moab.
An afternoon swim is possible before heading up to our stunning camp among the Entrada Sandstone bluffs, offering a truly immersive desert experience.
Prepare for a significant day of climbing as we ascend to Sevenmile Mesa, gaining over 2,400 feet.
This challenging climb is rewarded with panoramic views before an exhilarating descent towards the beautiful Fisher Valley.
Our camp is tucked away into the backcountry, used by the outlaws of the past.
Today’s ride offers breathtaking vistas as we climb towards North Beaver Mesa, nestled within the majestic La Sal Mountains.
From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to expansive views that stretch across the iconic red rock landscape, including distant glimpses of Arches National Park.
We will camp up high amongst the ponderosa pines this evening with views of fisher and castle valley.
Conclude your Kokopelli Trail cycling adventure with an epic ride down Sand Flats Road.
This thrilling descent offers continuous panoramic views of the Moab valley, culminating in a triumphant arrival in Moab, Utah.
After celebrating your incredible journey, we’ll shuttle back to Grand Junction, filled with memories of our unforgettable multi-day desert bike trip.

Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, road conditions, rider safety and other factors which may affect the logistics of the adventure.

Primarily singletrack, with sections of packed sediment, rocky and sandy terrain, and smooth dirt.
Overall Rating
Very difficult riding on singletrack and jeep roads. Requires a high level of skill and fitness. Advanced

Advanced (expect whoop-dee-doos, technical sections, steep climbs, and demanding descents).

Getting there.
Grand Junction, CO, 7:30 AM MST at the Clarion Inn, 755 Horizon Dr., 970-243-6790; spend the night before in Grand Junction. Ending time: return 5:00-6:00 PM last day. Getting there: 250 mi west of Denver, 50 mi east of UT/CO line on I-70; fly into Grand Junction (GJT).
