This Guided Methow Valley Singletrack Tour is tailored for Expert riders who possess a high level of cycling skill, featuring:

Ultimate Expert Challenge: Conquer very difficult singletrack on steep mountain trails at elevations between 2,000 and 7,400 feet. Expect physically demanding climbs and rewarding descents.
World-Class Network: Explore renowned trails including Foggy Dew Trail, Sun Mountain Trail System, Buck Mountain, Crater Lake Trail, and Twisp River Trail.
Alpine Immersion: Ride amidst breathtaking alpine views, spectacular glaciers, and diverse landscapes, from glacial mountain lakes to towering sagebrush hills.
Fully Supported: Seamless support at cozy campsites ensures your multi-day cycling trip is worry-free, despite riding technical trails with no vehicle support.

Itinerary

Your Washington mountain biking adventure begins as we meet in Wenatchee and shuttle to the renowned Sun Mountain Trail System.
We’ll dive into the Climb It Change Trail, Woodpecker Trail, and Pete’s Dragon for a technical warm-up, challenging your skills from the start.
We then connect to the scenic Winthrop Trail, leading us to our first camp, ready for an immersive backcountry experience.

Approx. 14.5 miles

Today, we’ll shuttle to the base of iconic Buck Mountain.
We’ll climb up the Buck Up Trail, which rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the Chewuch River and Methow valleys.
Next, we’ll enjoy a super fun, rolling cross-country descent through beautiful grasslands and towering pines, culminating back at our tranquil lake camp.

Approx. 14 miles

We’ll ride the Winthrop Trail back towards Sun Mountain for a quick warm-up with a 5-mile, 1000-foot climb.
From there, enjoy the mostly flat Rodeo Trail to Black Bear Trail for a shaded descent offering spectacular valley views.
We then enjoy the thrilling More Cowbell Trail descent into the Twisp River Valley, arriving at War Creek Campground.

Approx. 25 miles

Prepare for the “Big Day!” We’ll shuttle to the Crater Lake Trailhead for a significant climb of 3200 feet.
We will be traversing technical and cliffy sections as we ascend into a true alpine experience.
The exhilarating descent begins with technical sections, culminating in the consistent pitch of the famous Foggy Dew Trail – an unforgettable ride that demands and utilizes all your singletrack skills!

Approx. 15 miles

Conclude your Methow Valley singletrack adventure with a beautiful out-and-back ride directly from camp on the Twisp River Trail.
Enjoy a gentle climb through the dense forest, with views of the river and the Chelan Sawtooth Wilderness.
The return ride is a delightful downhill with sculpted twists and turns, providing a thrilling finish before returning to Wenatchee.

Predominantly singletrack (mostly firm pack, some loose pumice, smooth pine duff, rocky sections), with some dirt roads.

Wenatchee, WA, 8:00 AM PST at Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel, 201 N Wenatchee Ave. Ending time: return to Wenatchee 4:00-5:00 PM last day. Getting there: ~2.5 hrs from Seattle/Spokane; fly into Wenatchee (EAT) or Spokane (GEG).
